🎤 Milton Rooms, Malton

Sunday 30th August | 3pm

Fancy getting involved in some live music?

The Open Mic Session takes place at the Milton Rooms in Malton from 3pm, and everyone is welcome.

Whether you're taking to the microphone or simply coming along to enjoy the performances, it's a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.


🎬 Palace Cinema, Malton

There's plenty to choose from at the Palace Cinema, with the following films showing until Thursday 27th August:

Whitby Folk Week continues through Friday 28th August, bringing music, dancing and entertainment to venues around the town.

There's something for all ages, so it's a great excuse to head to Whitby and enjoy the atmosphere.

Whitby Pavilion | Saturday 29th August

Saturday brings Thank ABBA for the Music, celebrating the songs of one of pop's biggest groups.

And if that's not enough, American Super Slam Wrestling is also taking place on the same day.

YMCA Theatre

Tuesday 25th & Wednesday 26th August

The YMCA's production of Disney's Frozen The Musical reaches its final performances on the 25th and 26th of August.

If you've been meaning to see this family favourite, this is your final chance to catch the production.


🎭 Stephen Joseph Theatre

Until Saturday 29th August

There's still time to catch the wickedly funny comedy Handbagged.

The production imagines the private meetings between Queen Elizabeth II and Margaret Thatcher, giving audiences a hilarious fictional glimpse behind the closed doors of Buckingham Palace.

The run finishes on Saturday 29th August, so don't leave it too late to book your tickets.

Aardman in Concert – 50 Years of Wallace & Gromit

A celebration of 50 years of Aardman animation and some of Britain's most beloved characters.

Thursday 27th August

Scandal at the Stage Door is a murder mystery evening taking place at the Grand Opera House.

Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote

Fancy putting your detective skills to the test?

Enjoy a unique and hilarious evening packed with games, prizes and audience participation, hosted by super-fan Tim Benzie.

It's a great night out for fans of the classic TV series and anyone who enjoys a good murder mystery with plenty of laughs along the way.

On Thursday the 3rd of September at The Milton Rooms in Malton is Gleowit Productions - Anne Boleyn's Mother

On Friday 4th of September is the York Based band, The Dan Webster Band, who deliver a transatlantic blend of Americana, Country, Folk and Roots

On Saturday the 5th of September on stage is a tribute band to the Rolling Stones early years, The Rollin' Stoned

Something rather different is happening at Scampston Hall as the Yorkshire Traction Engine Rally rolls into town.

Expect a fantastic celebration of vintage machinery and steam-powered engineering, making this a great day out for enthusiasts, families and anyone who enjoys seeing these magnificent machines in action.

The Ultimate MOD Revue

Take a musical journey through the Mod Movement from the 1960s through to the 1990s.
